1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Teamtastic service available at app.teamtastic.net (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" refers to that organization.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Teamtastic is a team workspace that provides task management, direct messaging, time-off tracking, a team wiki, and scheduling features. Workspaces are invite-based: members join because a workspace owner has created one and extended an invitation.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for material changes that affect paid subscribers.
3. Accounts and Responsibilities
Organization owners
The person or entity that creates a Teamtastic workspace (the "Owner") is responsible for that workspace and all activity within it. This includes managing member access, configuring integrations and webhooks, and ensuring that the organization's use of the Service complies with these Terms.
Individual members
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at hello@teamtastic.net if you become aware of any unauthorized access.
Accurate information
You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it current. Accounts created with false information may be suspended.
4. Subscriptions, Trial, and Billing
Plans
Teamtastic is offered on a tiered subscription model: a free plan with capacity limits, and paid plans (Team, Business, and Enterprise) that raise those limits and unlock additional features. Current plan details and pricing are shown on the pricing page. Plan features and limits may change over time; we will give paid subscribers reasonable notice of any reductions to plan limits.
Free trial
Team and Business plans include a 7-day free trial. No payment method is required to start a trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your workspace will automatically convert to a paid subscription and your payment method will be charged. You may cancel at any time during the trial from your organization's billing settings at no charge.
Billing
All payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to Paddle's terms of service in addition to these Terms. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually depending on your selection) until cancelled. You authorize Paddle to charge your payment method on each renewal date.
Refund policy
We offer a full refund on your first charge if both of the following conditions are met:
- You request the refund within 7 days of the date your first payment was charged; and
- Your workspace has been in use for fewer than 15 days in total since it was created (trial days count toward this total).
This means that even if you forgot to cancel during your 7-day free trial, you still have 7 days after your first charge to claim a refund, provided total usage has not exceeded 15 days. Refund requests outside this window, or where total usage exceeds 15 days, are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed. To request a refund, contact hello@teamtastic.net with your workspace name and registered email address.
We do not offer prorated refunds for unused time on a cancelled subscription after the refund window has passed, except where required by applicable law.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your organization's billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access to paid features until that date.
Failed payments
If a payment fails, we will attempt to notify you and retry the charge. If the outstanding amount remains unpaid after a reasonable period, we may downgrade your workspace to the free plan or suspend access until the balance is resolved.
Taxes
Paddle, as Merchant of Record, is responsible for calculating, collecting, and remitting applicable sales taxes. Prices displayed may or may not include tax depending on your location; the final amount will be shown at checkout.
5. Acceptable Use
You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- use the Service to transmit content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, another user's account, or any connected system
- use automated tools to scrape, index, or extract data from the Service without our written consent
- interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its underlying infrastructure
- use the Service to send unsolicited communications, including spam
- reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Service
- resell, sublicense, or otherwise make the Service available to third parties outside your organization without our written consent
- use the Service in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation
We may investigate suspected violations and, at our discretion, suspend or terminate accounts involved in confirmed violations without prior notice.
6. Your Content
Ownership
You retain ownership of all content you and your organization's members create within the Service, including tasks, messages, wiki pages, and uploaded files ("Your Content"). These Terms do not transfer any ownership of Your Content to us.
License to Teamtastic
By submitting content to the Service, you grant Teamtastic a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to your organization. We do not use Your Content for advertising or to train AI models.
Your responsibility
You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of Your Content. You represent that you have all rights necessary to submit Your Content and that doing so does not infringe any third party's intellectual property or privacy rights.
File storage
Files uploaded as task attachments are stored on Cloudflare R2 and served via time-limited signed URLs. You are responsible for ensuring that files you upload comply with applicable laws and do not contain malicious code.
7. AI Features
Teamtastic includes optional AI-assisted features powered by Anthropic's Claude API. These features are always user-initiated and never run automatically. When you use an AI feature, relevant workspace content (such as a task description) is sent to Anthropic for processing. You are responsible for reviewing any AI-generated output before using it; Teamtastic does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content.
AI features are subject to a configurable daily token limit per user. If your organization reaches its limit, AI features will be temporarily unavailable until the limit resets at midnight UTC. Organization owners may adjust or disable this limit from the settings page.
You agree not to use AI features to generate content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or Anthropic's Acceptable Use Policy.
8. Third-Party Integrations
The Service integrates with third-party platforms, including saved Zoom and Google Meet meeting links, inbound email-to-task aliases, and customer-configured webhooks. Your use of those integrations is subject to the respective third party's terms of service. Teamtastic is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of any third-party service.
If you configure outbound webhooks, you are responsible for the security of the destination URL and for the data that is transmitted to it. Teamtastic validates that webhook destinations are reachable public URLs, but we cannot guarantee the security of third-party systems you choose to connect.
You may disconnect any integration at any time from your organization's settings.
9. Intellectual Property
The Teamtastic name, logo, product design, and underlying software are owned by Teamtastic and protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, trade names, or logos without prior written permission.
We welcome feedback and suggestions about the Service. If you share ideas with us, you grant us the right to use them without any obligation to compensate you.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Termination
By you
You may stop using the Service at any time. Organization owners can delete their workspace from the settings page, which will schedule all associated data for permanent deletion within 30 days.
By Teamtastic
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or illegal activity, or posed a risk to the security of the Service or other users. For paid accounts, we will provide notice where feasible and offer a prorated refund for any prepaid unused period, except in cases of material Terms violations.
Effect of termination
Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. Sections covering intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Teamtastic disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure, or that any defects will be corrected. You use the Service at your own risk.
AI-generated content is produced by a third-party model and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your use case. You are responsible for reviewing it before acting on it.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Teamtastic and its officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of business opportunity.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising under or related to these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) $100 USD.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service that cannot be resolved informally will be submitted to the courts of competent jurisdiction.
Before initiating any formal dispute, you agree to contact us at hello@teamtastic.net and give us 30 days to attempt an informal resolution.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via an in-app notification and, for changes that affect your rights or obligations, by email. The revised Terms will be posted at teamtastic.net/terms with a new effective date. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes your acceptance. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and cancel your subscription before the effective date.
